The Monument itself might seem nothing of partcular interest - but insideit hides a Museum in which everything is clearsly explained - also the fact that the Town belonged to Austria and was then given-with the rest of the territory-to Italy when the treaty of Saint Germain was signed. All those who still wonder why here some people are native... More

It is very difficult to rate by circles such a place. When you pass by (or sit in for a while - it's quite nice) a huge riverside park and cross the bridge you enter a distinctly other part of town. And the first thing you can see - in fact it's impossible to miss - is this monument to... More

Nice spot to stop while walking along Talferbach river. Very close to the Otzi museum - on the other side of the river...

Here you can find a review of a dark period in local history that Will satisfy the native Italian speakers whose ancestors were involved as well as the native German speakers with involved ancestors. Objectivity is part of the exhibition. Worth-seeing.

Worth the trip. Not too much inside to see, but you will see some of the best views from up top, the colosseum, Roman forum, etc. 7 euro/ea for lift is only way to get to top, no stairs.

Very nice monument for such a small town. Built by the Facist regime to mark the victory of the war.

The victory monument is central in Bolzano in the cellar there is an interesting exhibition about the history of South Tyrol and Bolzano. This is in my view one of the "untold" stories in modern Europe.

It is a bit outside the centre, quite frankly I would not go out of my way to visit it. Have a look at Wikipedia, and you will learn everything about the region, which was Austrian but handed over to Italy after world war I.
