Magic Turin Evening Tour

59 reviews
Elegant Turin has a secret history shrouded in mystery and links to magic and the occult. Discover the dark side to the city during this guided tour by night that takes in sights and landmarks linked to the city’s twins “souls”, one associated with black magic and the other with white magic. Visit areas of the city considered cursed since Roman times, sinister architecture, and forbidding statues.

Went there specifically to see the Tarocchi Show which was an excellent and in depth examination of the history of tarot cards. The show is in italian. I read online that you could somehow use your phone with an app to read the descriptions. The man at the entry was impatient and pushed me into buying the audio which is TERRIBLE- I do not recommend. If I knew that all you needed was a QR Scanner for the descriptions which translate into english I would have enjoyed more.

Lovely little museum in the basement of a building right behind piazza Statuto and the Eye Hospital, unbeknownst to me (and I visit Turin often). I saw the Tarocchi show: a Niki de Saint-Phalle retrospective show that I would have expected to find in NY, and that gives a heavy clue on the importance that Turin has achieved in the world of modern art. Definitely a place to return to and patronize, over and over, expecting new and delightful surprises. Super nice staff, the type you have the impression is there for the art.
