Pleasantly surprised by this Museum. As with all Turin museums, exhibits were marked in English. The Museum tells the story of the siege of Turin by the French in 1706 and the heroism of a tunneller Pietro Micca. A highlight is a guided tour of...More

I lived in Turin for 3 years and never knew about this story or museum. I recently visited Turin to see friends and discovered this hidden gem. Across from train station Porta Susa, 3 euro admission, headphones in several languages, and wonderful displays of the...More

Well worth the visit. The museum was extremely interesting and showed the lesser known history and heroes of Turin. The tour guide was unbelievably good, detailed, and seriously passionate. He responded to questions and explained in depth. The volunteers should be commended for their efforts...More

I would strongly advise that if you don't speak Italian, listen to at least part of the audio guide before you go on the tunnel tour as it is very difficult to keep up otherwise. We were given our guides and they were on the...More

This is a really interesting, slightly off the beaten track museum dedicated to the French siege of turin. If you are English speaker, make sure you arrange for an English speaking guide. Without guide you can’t go into the tunnels. Only takes just over an...More

The Pietro Micca Musean is one of those places you'll miss if you don't know someone living in Turin or have heard about it from a previous visitor. Quite inconspicuous from the outside - basically a commemorative plaque near a small door on a quiet...More

It is sad that not more people visit this Museum. The problem might be that it is not very close to some of the other tourist attractions in the city. The staff and the guides are superbly knowledgeable and helpful. A model museum.

This was one of my favorite visits in the past MONTH of touring Europe!!! We have seen countless museums, holy sites, historical spots & parks but this, hands, down - run by volunteers no less (or perhaps because of?) - had the most impact. The...More

Found this by chance when. We wanted to go underground in Turin. It was only 3€. The actual museum is free and there is a free audio guide. The history is interesting and the staff, although their English wasn't strong, were more than helpful. Best...More

This museum is dedicated to the heroism pf Pietro Micca who saved the citadel. The museum and tours are staffed by volunteers and they cannot do enough to make you appreciate the museum and the tunnels and who took place in the 1700's. The entrance...More
