About
Established in 2012 in the heart of Turin's historic city centre, the Savings Museum, the first place in the world designed to spread financial literacy, is characterised by being unique and innovative. At the Museum, edutainment, educational entertainment based on technology and interactivity (3D videos, documentaries, theatrical animations, video games), stimulates the active participation of visitors and increases their familiarity with concepts that underpin the conscious management of money. The Museum has recently enriched the route with the Ammirare room, a VR station that, thanks to the support of an interactive seat and state-of-the-art oculus, allows visitors to enjoy an immersive experience, a journey through art and history. On 15 June 2024, La Scalata, the museum's Escape Room, was opened to the public for the first time. Unique is the collection of piggy banks in the Savings Room: more than 1600 examples from all over the world.

A nice discovery, the Museum of Savings. Explanations accessible to all on the terms of the economy, investment, the birth of money and credits, the major financial crises in history. Interactive and virtual itineraries on the relationship between economy and cinema, economy and literature and, finally, an exhibition of hundreds of piggy banks from all over the world (the complete collection has more than 1,600 pieces).

During a recent stay in Turin with my family I decided, just out of curiosity, to visit this Museo del Risparmio. We were pleasantly surprised! A museum that doesn't look like a proper museum..so interactive, enjoyable for us and for our kids as well. At the end of the tour there's also a room with interactive games that taste your ability in dealing with money which the kids enjoyed a lot. A place very easy to reach in the centre of town. I recommend a visit!

The museum of savings should be called the multimedia museum of savings.
In fact, the museum does not preserve any important historical objects, nor any furniture or paintings.
The museum lets you know what saving is, through a series of videos.

NEGATIVE:
- Ticket price, expensive compared to museum content and consequent cultural enrichment;
- Multimedia stations close to each other, which - in the presence of other visitors - lead to a chaotic and disturbing visit;
- Use of outdated and unattractive technology.

The real saving is not visiting this museum.

I think it is more geared towards an adult population. Great Italian perspective. Great space, well divided - space well used. I wonder, why is it that other local banks do not participate? Why is it that you have not developed an area to the Italian fortune, companies, etc... I truly enjoyed the explanations, I spent almost three hours from A to Z. Being in Turin why not speak about Agnelli, Olivetti? and their impact to the local economy... etc There is so much more to know in this beautiful city full of so much history. I am sure with more private participation, it should be an inexpensive museum... that could bring so much more to the community. I enjoyed my visit. The staff was cordial and prompt to guide and share.

a very particular and interactive museum. We start from history - from barter to the monetary crises of current times - to continue with explanations on shares, derivatives, bonds, pension funds and interviews with personalities from the Italian and international financial world, ending with themed game rooms, collection of piggy banks various eras and finally a test on your financial personality. All with short videos and the possibility of interacting.

Very nice museum, ideal for families with small children. It helps to understand the concept of “saving” through games, video, audio from the birth of barter.
