What a cool bicycle tour we did in Torino!!
Born and raised in Torino, free tourguide Roberto showed us around and even arranged free bikes for us. In almost 4 hours he told everything about Torino, its origin and showed us the different parts of the city that came with its history.
At the end we had a good Barbera (wine) at one of the few piola’s and a good chat about important things in life. What a nice guy Roberto is.
Because he does this for free, we gave him a lovely tip. He definitely deserves this. Many thanks Roberto!

Roberto has been beyond fantastic, excellent, wonderful - these words are not enough. Throughout Covid he stayed in touch to support me in making the best surprise trip for my partner. So knowledgeable and will 100% come back.
Honestly the best experience from the kindest person ever.

We spent a half day cycling with Roberto through the city, parks and along the river. In these times of Covid, we didn't really want to be indoors with big crowds and this is a great way to feel you are getting a sense of the city - helped by Roberto's excellent local knowledge of Turin and its history. Roberto is a great guide who can intuitively sense when you might be in need of a gelato break and of course has the perfect spot ahead for you. Highly recommended.

We found the Easytorino site by Googling "cycling in Torino" and contacted Roberto who replied promptly. We were interested in the whole day tour but unfortunately he was booked out and we only had a few days left before moving on. Roberto offered us a four hour tour through the parks and green belts around Torino. Roberto was able to lend us some bikes. They were the best bikes we have had in our trips around Europe. Good quality, in good condition and comfortable. We set off on a very enjoyable morning. First to the beautiful Parco Valentino then along the river. We stopped along the way at places of interest where Roberto would tell us stories of the area. His knowledge of national and local history is solid. Highlights of the trip included the BEST coffee we have had in Italy and the most delicious gelato, very welcome on a warm day. We throughly enjoyed the tour. Roberto is very friendly, has an obvious love of his city and speaks perfect English. He later sent me some details of places around Torino for day trips. We spent the next day in the Langhe wine region and lunched at his favourite restaurant. All perfect. We highly recommend this service. Tip Roberto well. He is worth it!

Roberto was an amazing guide for our cycle tour along the Po River! Super friendly and knowledgable about the history of the city and Italy in general, he found a perfect balance between unhurried cycling along the river and explaining some of the history of the city. He also knows a thing or two about gelato (try the Hazelnut!). Highly recommended

We did a walking tour with Roberto who told us the history of the city as we wandered. It was a relaxed morning as we passed the sites including the Roman entrance and the Royal palace area. At the market Roberto translated our questions to the delightful couple at the cheese store which meant we were able to return later and pick up some beautiful cheeses.
It was the little details that added to this trip. We would not have known about or seen the survivor paintings without Roberto. Roberto’s genuine friendliness made this a lovely introduction to Turin. Forza Roberto!

Great way to spend a glad day in Turin. The ride is picturesque along the Po river on mainly paved and gravel auto free paths. Our guide gave a good recap of local history from the Roman occupation of Turin through the Savoys and Emmanuele II to modern Torino. Touring through the parks and gardens while hearing about the historical significance of Turin on bike was much more enjoyable than reading about it. The ride included stops for coffee, pictures and a gelato if your interested. It was nice to have a guide passionate about the history and cycling heritage of the area at a pace which was comfortable and unhurried. Bravo!

We took the cycling tour with Roberto starting in Turin and doing a loop out to San Mauro - really enjoyed the trip - about 26km at whatever pace you are comfortable with and Roberto shared lots of interesting information. Great way to see the area around Turin as well as some of the sights in the city.
Roberto was really friendly and was happy to give recommendations for other places to see and eat in the city.
Touring with a local - great way to get a feel for the city and the région.

We had a delightful morning cycling around Turin. Roberto was an amiable and friendly host. We saw many highlights and stopped for a hot drink on the way. Rob explained the history of the city in a way that was to give you a sense of the different stories of Turin, which was a welcome approach. We took this trip during the holiday season and were grateful to be accommodated. Highly recommend if you want a fun snapshot of the city.

Hi Jasmyn, we have quite a few bicycle tours in the area, from half-day to long trips.
Regarding the city of Turin check the ride named Torino Unconventional: easy and relaxing, across parks and river shores, with tasty stops for freshly roasted espresso coffee and artisan gelato.
All info can be found on our website Easytorino Italian Gourmet Cycling. Just type it on google and you'll find us.
Ciao!

Besides the Churches, what are the sights you recommend us to visit in BRA and beyond. We have 2 days in BRA. Unfortunately, most of the shopping is closed today. We are not driving

Ciao, unfortunately Monday is closing day for most attractions and shops in the area. Without car the only options nearby is to take the shuttle train to Alba (another famous town in the surroundings) but it's Monday in Alba as well, thus I am not sure it would be much better...
I suggest you to take a train to Torino (60 minutes journey). Torino is the capital city of the region, and it's beautiful. You'd find many shops and things to visit.
p.s. The train from Bra to Torino stops in Torino Lingotto station which is 6km from the city center; here you can catch another train to Torino Porta Nuova which is the main central station or take the bus to the centre (stops in front of the station).
