Asti's second largest church is dedicated to Saint Secondo, supposedly decapitated by the Emperor Hadrian on this very spot. Very atmospheric with some fine frescoes. At the moment there's also a little display of all the flags from the recent Palio. Unfortunately the crypt was shut of when we visited, but that might also be worth a visit.

This was an interesting church in the main Square. Don't miss the mosaics on the floor near the altar.

Was walking around taking some pictures when I noticed the church. Thought I would take some pictures inside as well and upon entering mass was being held. So I stood for mass, and prayed. God probably brought me there that moment because I needed it. Inside it’s beautifully decorated with the cross high in the middle. A very pleasant church & I’m glad I went in. Make sure to pay a visit when you’re here, day or night. And maybe say a prayer. God Bless!

Built in the 13th century in the Gothic style it had a nice interior with some medieval frescoes still remaining and a nice chapel showcasing the flags of all the participants to the Palio of Asti.

Nice church dedicated to the Saint of the City. It is worth visiting the hidden basement (Cripta) where the remains of the Saint are preserved.
