The Piazza is a lovely place to hang out. There are Cafes for a nice espresso or wine and lovely place. We hit it during a food festival and were able to taste/buy some exquisite cheeses.

I do not think I have ever seen so many cafes and bars crammed into one space. There has to be at least one that meets your needs. Great for people watching.

When you are walking round Pavia you cannot miss this square, a truly stung Piazza where you can sit and take in your location with the many bars and restaurants.

Great place to visit with loads of restaurants and bars. Unfortunately when we were there the central square was being re-done so there were roadworks all over and it was difficult to get round. I expect that it is really lovely now.

It is a number one meeting place for locals and at night its cafe patios are full. Surrounded by historical buildings and an equally beautiful gallery of arcades, along which there are numerous bars and restaurants.

We spent a bit of time exploring Pavia and headed here for a rest. There was a small market and an ice rink to skate for children. The square has many bars with outside seating which was popular despite it being January. Would be much...More

When visiting Pavia it is well worth heading towards Piazza Vittoria, the heart of this beautiful town. Sadly on side of the Piazza has a rather ugly modern building, but just sit down in one of the many coffee shops with your back to it...More

Piazza Vittoria serves its function as the centre of Pavia well. It is a de facto meeting place for locals and at night its cafe patios are full. Aesthetically the southern half of the piazza is lovely, featuring the Broletto and the view of the...More
