The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

I pre-booked my husband in for a shave and haircut via email a couple of weeks before coming to Milan. A booking is the only way to make sure you will get time in the chair, as all three barbers were quite busy.
I think it's the best haircut he's ever had, and a very smooth shave. It will also undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience for him sitting in an old school Italian barber shop chair, with white linens protecting him from falling hair. Simple extra touches such as cotton wool in the collar really made sure no nuisance strays bugged him later on.
The experience comes at a cost 105€ for cut, shampoo, and shave, but to generate an experience, I think it was worth it.

On our last day in Milano wee walked past this beautiful antique barber shop that looked impeccable with photos from Canopus opera singers from the early 1900’s. I thought what a wonderful experience for my husband whose hair was already short but could have used a. bit of a trim and well the old school barbering seems to be something to enjoy.
Suffice to say that under its exquisite exterior the experience its self was far below 0 ,,, the barber that they chose for my husband had been working their I was told for over 39 years . I am a hairdresser and was witnessing the debauchery from a distance , \
I was told that he was having some personal problems these past few weeks as if this was a valid excuse ..I understand that this is just hair and it would grow back , but the fact that he never introduced himself , never talked to him once , left holes and scissor/chop marks and when my husband asked him to blend he proceeded to take out electric clippers , which resulted in an unbalanced mess….
I need to add that my husband does. Not want me to write this as he felt compassion for the man , but I feel obliged to the owners of the business and to the barber himself , ,
We all have bad days for sure , But if it’d that bad m stay home and take care for yourself or your family ,

The receptions did what she could , offered the service for free and included a bar a shaving soap in a lovely bag ( side note , if you dont use shaving soap what good is it whiteout the brush ??

Just proceed with caution and always always have a conversation with your hair professional before they start the service ,
