Actually, we were not waiting for a wonderful view as the month was January. But our luck was with us and without any cloud, any bad weather conditions we were able to see the towers beautifully in winter weather. You will see the idea of making vertical forests into the buildings in every corner of Milano yet they use this technology successfully. The Vertical Forest is an anti-sprawl method which helps to control and reduce urban expansion
To reach Bosco Verticale you need to take the green metro line and get out in Gioia stop.
For a bonus detail, you will see a big area so close to Bosco Verticale with a full-time well-kept park with nice parks for kids and for even grown.

Beautiful pair of towers in the Isola-Garibaldi district, award-winning in architectural competitions : awarded in 2014 at the international Highrise Awards but above all awarded as the most beautiful skyscraper in the world in 2015.
Architect: Stefano Boeri
Residential use ( stratospheric prices)
High 110 and 76 meters
26 and 18 floors.
The idea of making these green skyscrapers came to Boeri by visiting the new Arab cities full of skyscrapers but reflecting sun and heat..... with this system we have zero refraction.

I read so much about this building and the concept behind it that i could not see it.
It is amazing and the idea it's great. Just a couple of comments
1. winter is not the best season. The trees and the plants on the terraces were "naked" and the effect that can be seen in many pictures is of course reduced
2. It is smaller than expected. Not in height, but in width and a little bit squeezed between other buildings.
Overall it's a masterpiece and it deserves absolutely a visit in MilAN

From far, we could see this apartment building. Those large, staggered and overhanging balconies are designed to accommodate large external tubs for vegetation and to allow the growth of trees without hindrance. So this apartment building serves as home to humans and birds. If we were to look at it in spring, the sight would be even more magnificent.

Bosco Verticale is a pair of residential towers in the Porta Nuova district of Milan that as its name implies is a mix of a residential tower, plants and trees. The building just looks incredible.

The buildings are not in the main tourist circuit of Milan and I went out of the way to see it. I’m glad I did and you will too to see this marvel of architecture and nature.

Such an inspirational, clever idea. Built in Milan’s business district these “vertical forests” cover two whole buildings. So unique and definitely worth a visit.
If you’re taking a train into Milan central station it’s not far so it’s definitely worth the walk. The greenery surrounding the building is lovely to just relax and chill with family’s and friends whilst admiring these two amazing buildings.

If you have any interest in architecture, urban planning or environments, this is worth a visit. It is a 2 tower apartment/condo complex festooned with trees and large shrubs. The area around the complex is also worth some exploration including the park to the east-south-east with its "library of trees", multi-use layout and view of the many modern and architecturally unique buildings.

Bosco Verticale is a beautiful green highrise, easy to distinguish amidst Milan's skyline. A Unique building, and indeed a real sight to behold, if you are into contemporary architecture (of which there is a lot more in Milan).
Most trees and plants are still a bit young, so the real vertical forest is going to take its shape over the coming years and decades. This building is one to watch.

A guided tour through the building would be a magnificent thing to do, but after some research I could not find anything like it. Too bad! Hopefully there will be one in the future.

Incredible architecture incorporating modern green space covering the exterior of the towers. Every season brings a new palette of color and dimension.
