Neighborhood: Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

I can’t write much because we were shooed out of the building by a nasty man who looked like a groundskeeper who yelled “closed” (in Italian) and waved his arms to motion us out the door. It was 11:55 and apparently the church closes from 11:00-3:00. Make sure you know the hours because everyone we spoke to after being tossed out could care less that we didn’t know the church closed (for what I have no idea) from 12-3. One didn’t know the reopening was at 3 and told us 4. Very rude which sucks because they’re representing God’s house.

A lot of tourists que for hours to get into Duomo and that may be the only church they visit in town. That's a pitty as Milan has so many interesting and beautiful churches loaded with excellent works of art. Chiesa di Santa Maria della Passione should be a must during a visit in time and for sure is less time consuming. From outside the building doesn't promise a lot, but the inside is fantastic. Just sit and enjoy it all and make sure not to miss the Last Supper by Gaudenzio Ferrari. He was the first one who dared to paint the last supper after da Vinci.

Very nice church, remember to check out the fresco in the old monestary in the back. Enter through the door to the right of the alter.

It is in Centro Storico near San Babila piazza. The architecture of the Chiesa draws the attention, but there are too many Chiesas and Basilicas in Milano which are just seen by the way coincidentally not intentionally.

If you thought that Milan’s Duomo or Santa Maria della Grazie are Milan’s most beautiful churches, then think again! This church is stunninggggg inside out. I wasn’t expecting this since it’s overlooked as a must-visit, but it definitely is. Check the photos I am posting and judge for yourself!

The 2nd largest church in Milan is truly remarkable.
While not being THAT monumental from the outside, it is when you enter it all the magic begins.
The walls are beautifully decorated with blue hues and there are numerous paintings in the church.
The curved ceiling is absolutely stunning and the acoustics of the church is superb.
It's well worth the walk from the town center to this magnificent church.

This church has a truly suggestive architecture and inside has a fresco by a student of Leonardo's school. A really nice surprise.
