Modern gateway to the city. These buildings are adjacent to thr Garibaldi train station, which has similar architecture.

If coming from/going to Malpensa and connecting with the Metro or to/from France, do yourself a favor and use Porta Garibaldi station instead of Centrale, which is over-crowded and filled with scam artists. Not only is Porta Garibaldi free of the vermin, it is less crowded, nearly non-existent lines for ticketing and the Metro is MUCH closer to the platforms. Although the dining is limited, the fare is good and the prices lower.

This twin tower buildings should represent modern take on a symbolism of gateway to the city. Although quite nice architecture, there could be much more into the theme.

One hundred meters high twin skyscrapers near the Porta Garibaldi station are the symbol of modern Milan. They were built at the end of the 20th century and completely refurbished and modernized in 2012. An amazing site, especially in the evening!

This is modern Milan in action! Huge skyscrapers, interesting from a modern architectural point of view. We did not go inside, just looked from the street. I think the Italian railways own them, and have offices inside.
