Let me preface this with- I’m a huge Prada shopper (mostly clothes and coats) and savvy about most honest boutiques. There are many Prada shops in Milano- at least four that I tried to shop at. This trip I also shopped at Prada Serravalle, Prada The Mall, and the flagship- Prada Montevarchi. I have reviewed each separately. Milano was my first stop. This is one of their stores on Via Montenapoleone. It didn’t matter that I was in head- to-toe Prada (it’s subtle after all) it was SO difficult to get help. After I tried on shoes (and bought all of them), I went downstairs for accessories. I bought accessories as wellI was in and out of the store in less than 30 minutes. Here’s the kicker- I asked to pay in Euro. I signed the slip and didn’t check (because you assume shops are honest- DO NOT MAKE THAT MISTAKE) but was charged in USD, a $120 USD overage when doing the conversion. Needless to say, in addition to the relatively poor experience, being upcharged wasn’t good. Final nail in the coffin- Catherine refunded my VAT in Euros, the LOWER amount, not commensurate with the USD, effectively lowering my VAT to under 6% (about half). Watch out!

Having visited 20 years ago, the elegance and beauty of Prada remains unchanged. The personnel were polite and knowledgeable and treated all in a superb manner. It is truly an extraordinary experience to visit this iconic store.

It was my wife’s wish to enter the Prada store at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. We saw it as it’s right in the center of the galleria. The surroundings were beautiful but packed as can be imagined. Instead of just walking in, we had to wait as security only let in a few customers at once. That is expected and normal. Once inside though, we weren’t given the time of day. Perhaps they thought we were just window shopping but my wife really wanted to buy a purse. Because of the lack of customer service, we left. Their loss.

On my recent trip to Milan, went to various luxury boutiques, Versace, Gucci, Armani etc. In the Vittoria Emmanuelle Where all staff were freindly and courteous, what a shame the staff of Prada were too important to look up and acknowledge my family, did get a bye as we left which was muted, Couldnt say if the products were good or not as within 1st five minutes had already decided not to spend any money here. Such a shame.,

This Milan Prada store is located in Galleria Vittoria and was one of the highlights of my Italy trip. We traveled from Rome to Milan to experience one the oldest shopping malls in the world. It was really significant because my husband bought me another Prada bag at this original Prada store. Being a Prada fan, it was magnificent. My sales associate was very attentive and accommodated what style/color/practical purpose I wanted and found the right bag within a short amount of time. I couldn't be happier about her professional knowledge and matching customer needs. Don't miss this special Prada store , especially if you are a big Prada fan. It's going to be a lavish, glorious, regal, and opulent experience!
