The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

There is a tiny little store on this street, Via Montenapolene 26. It's D Magazine. It's very tiny so it's hard to find, but worth a visit. It's like an outlet, has a bunch of random stuff marked down from high-end stores. You can find a great bargain if you take a little time to hunt.

The most elegant shopping street of Milan, forming the so called “quadrilatero della moda” (quadrilateral of fashion) with Via della Spiga, Via Sant’Andra and Via Manzoni. These four main streets create the “boundary” of the area, but inside there are other smaller streets, like Via Santo Spirito, also well worth a visit. In this “quadrilatero” you can find the best designers shops, but also shops selling less known, trendy brands, bars and restaurants.

As mentioned by other reviewers, shops are in the very expensive range, so be warned. It is however pleasant to walk around, even without buying anything.

A customer's paradise! it is worth a visit and walking around the narrow streets will make you feel good. However, it is great for looking but not ideal for buying as prices may not be what you have in mind.In fact, you may enjoy your walk around Via Monte Napoleone and stay away from buying till you visit Serravalle Designer Outlet (Serravalle Scrivia). A large number of attractive coffee places are located in a short distance. Enjoy!

I love via Monte Napoleone! It's the best place in Milan to check out new fashion and trends. It's posh and classy, if you have been to Paris, via Monte Napoleone is the equal of rue Saint Honore. Great little cafes to stop for an espresso while shopping, superbe customer service anywhere.

If you want to shop in Milan and find good deals, go to the outlet near Milan. There are several excellent outlets within a radius of 80 km from Milan. Via Monte Napoleone is an upscale shopping street, apparently one of the most expensive street in Europe with fashion and jewellery. It is said that the street is famous for its shoes, it was difficult for me to judge. It is also the most important part in the fashion district of Milan called the Fashion Quadrilatero della, in which you can find many well-known fashion designers and high-end boutiques. I was in the beginning of January shortly and if you count on a deal in the January sale, you might be disappointed.

Milan is synonymous with fashion. And I just love to do some window shopping. All designer labels have their flagship stores here. So it’s fashion heaven!

This is the equivalent of bond street in London, where all the top luxury brands have their boutiques/stores. It nice to pass by even if you weren't planning to shop.

Located in the heart of the city, this has been in the last two centuries the center of the Milan wealth and of the luxury craft.
The building themselves are still wonderful but the street has a different "value" today.
The famous shops of artisans, goldsmiths and jewelers in particular, have been replaced by high-fashion shops, often foreigners.
Today, passing through the street, you'd hardly find fine examples of the "Milano bene" but you'd rather see groups from Japan, U.S, Saudi Arabia or other States like those, mixed with staggering and fashionable guys and girls, especially during the late afternoon or early in the evening, who look for the last brand new trend.
It's the right place if you want to find or buy a dress in a Gucci, Armani, Vuitton, Dior, ..., shop or only would love to be seen..here!
