Beautiful interior, all red velvet and gold. The royal box is a must see, as are some of the adjacent boxes. The theatre halls are visually elegant but not as sumptuous as other european theatre houses.

La Scala opera (10 Replies)
Is there anywhere to park close to La Scala theatre? Thanks!
April 29, 2017|
Response fromILAB69|
You can try the parking in via Meda or in via Agnello (parking of La Rinascente ). In any case I strongly recommend you to take a taxi which are right in front of the theatre on the left (via case rotte).

What attractions are near the train station in Milan? (3 Replies)
I'm passing through Milan on my way to Florence in May and I'm going to have at least two hours and a half hours to kill waiting for my train to leave Milan and I'm wondering if I can walk around and see some sights during that time. I get the impression that Duomo Cathedral and La Scala Opera House are within walking distance of the train station. Is this really the case? Any help would be appreciated!

I wouldn't call it walking distance. You can take the metro from stazione centrale to duomo takes about 5 minutes. Takes 20-25 minutes to walk from stazione centrale. You should definately go and see the Duomo that's fore sure. Good luck!

Current Taxi Fares in Milan (4 Replies)
Want to take a cab from Milan Central Station to La Scala opera house.. anyone know what the cab fare might be? 10 euro - 20 euro 30 euro? The map says a little over 2 miles.

Response fromDanila S|
Taxi fare is metered based on time al well, so it very much depend on traffic, more than on distance. I'd say around 10 Euro.
