The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

It can well be said that, together with the historic headquarters in Via Rovello and the adjacent Studio Expo, the Piccolo Teatro Strehler constitutes one of the greatest cultural expressions of Milan and the entire country.
Structured to allow the staging of any type of show, the theater always shows great versatility in programming combined with constant commitment to various social issues.
He demonstrated this once again, last Monday 9 October, with a particular performance of VajontS23, a civil oration by and with Marco Paolini, which will be repeated with "The tale of Vajont" on 16 October.

A few days ago I saw again, only from the outside, this modern building which constitutes one of the locations of the historic Piccolo Teatro of the City of Milan, founded in the immediate post-war period and the first gloomy public building in an Italian city.
It had and still has the aim of bringing those classes considered, wrongly, popular and not very cultured, closer to a "cultured" theater.
The other locations are the historic one in via Rovello, now dedicated to Paolo Grassi, and the adjacent Melato room, created in the former Fossati Theatre, a few meters from here.
The Strehler Theater is architecturally very beautiful and was designed by the famous architect Zanuso.
I noticed, however, that the beautiful Spiral Tower, by Arnaldo Pomodoro, located in front of the theater, was no longer present.
I don't know why and whether it will still be placed in its location.

The temperature was unbearable, too high for a winter which, outside, forces you to dress a little more. We saw Slava snowshow but no one thought that, apart from the audience, the rest of the theater would also be entitled to enjoy the show, which is interactive only for the lucky ones (the audience). This is known as the little theatre. The sightseeing bus guide told us of the many plays staged here, entertaining Milan citizens.

Little Theater in honour of famous Italian opera and theatre director Giorgio Strehler. The building was designed by Marco Zanuso and it opened its doors in 1998.

On my way to Corso Garibaldi to visit the former convent of Santa Maria degli Angioli and its inner garden, named two days ago after Giuni Russo (see reviews of both places), I went to the Strehler Theatre for some clarification on the program. The theater, also interesting from an architectural point of view, is an emanation of the glorious "Piccolo", together with which it is undoubtedly one of the cultural excellences of Milan and the country, with events and performances always intense and stimulating. Needless to comment on the brilliant figure of Giorgio Strehler, co-founder with Paolo Grassi and Nina Vinchi of the Piccolo Teatro in Via Rovello, and author of unforgettable directing and adaptations.

I've seen great actors with the visit with my class. They were well organized and very attentive to us children. Comfortable armchairs. To be repeated. Sophie.
