If Carlo Porta would be able to see his statue, probably would be satisfied with the placement. Trees, shrubs, and churches are surrounding the poet who wrote his works in the Milanese dialect. As I looked at the statue's face, I found it so characteristic that I'm not sure it's not a caricature? To make this judgment, I need to know what Carlo Porta looked like? Since he mainly wrote satires, it is possible that the sculptor somehow tried to make a hint about Carlo Porta's character. God gave the poet talent but didn't a long life. He passed away when he was 46 years old.
