This small square was full to overflowing with market stalls, so it was hard to get any real impression of it. One side of it is taken up by a building which is undergoing major refurbishment work at the moment.

After crossing Piazza delle Erbe, in the direction of the Doge's Palace, you will find this beautiful square mainly surrounded by buildings of the municipal period such as the Palazzo del PodestĂ , the Arch of the Arengario and the Palazzo del Massaro.
This characteristic square is remarkable for the buildings that surround it and is connected to Piazza Mantegna and Piazza delle Erbe through the characteristic medieval streets of the city of Mantua.

Located between Piazza Broletto and Piazza Sordello, it is a very large square with a cobbled floor. On one corner there is the Palazzo del PodestĂ and several restaurants that are not exactly cheap but where you can feel the uniqueness of the place
