The wine store of my dreams! I have been to many a wine store, but never one like this. Family-run with each member of the family giving their own vast knowledge and nuances to provide amazing service. An amazing collection of wines - both old and newer vintages. Great wines at every price point, the owners respectfully give advice for quality rather than price. One can learn an amazing amount from about Nebbiolo and the regions of Barolo, as well as about small and unknown producers from all over Italy. Each member of the family is amazingly knowledgeable and gives their own insight into the wines they love. An amazingly warm atmosphere, they have the astounding ability to get ones palate after only a short time. Highly, highly recommend to skip buying wine anywhere, but here. A gem and a jewel. I will return again and again!

La Cambusa in Stresa, 🇮🇹 is a great experience. The kind family who owns this quaint wine shop is very welcoming and knowledgeable- providing history and samples of the world's greatest wines, balsamic vinegar, truffle sauce, and more! Robert Parker would give their red 🍷 wines 10 🌟 stars! 👏 Bravisimo especially to the "Sangue di Giuda" (Judas's Blood) which is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Owner makes great recommendations, and is professional and courteous. Bottles arrived perfectly and safely packaged 📦❤️. It is, after all, Italy- where food and wine are divine, meeting the standards of perfection! 🇮🇹

Our Tour director brought us to a wine tasting here. We met several members of the family who own this wonderful wine shop including Sara who spent an extraordinary amount of time with each of us, helping us with recommendations and recipe suggestions. She is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. This was one of the highlights of our whole three week visit to Italy! We bought several of the wines, and some delicious olive oil, aged balsamic vinegar and other treats. I even found a delicious wine to mix with chocolate for a dessert topping. The store is beautiful to look at, and has an incredible selection of products. We went back another time on our own to visit again with Sara and purchase additional wines to have during the rest of our vacation in Italy. DON'T MISS THIS if you are anywhere near Stresa!!!

Beatrice was extremely knowledgeable about the wines and provided an educational tasting. The other products looked great as well. We bought some wines and we would go back. It's rare to find such a charming shop with great selection of products.

An amazing shop- typical of old style shops that one finds in the Med- dying breed in the UK.
Full of all kinds of lovely products including nice wine.
Might be a bit pricey but you pay for the service.

Visited as part of a walking tour with the rep. Excellent, knowledgeable staff, really interesting talk and tasting. Went back later to buy stuff to bring back. The only thing missing was a printed sheet with the delicious sounding recipes and tips!

We had a bad experience in this shop. The seller screwed up us, she gave the change back wrong and she tried to do it twice! The sellers seems friendly but take care of your money!!

La Cambusa is a wonderful wine and deli in the centre of Stresa, nestled on one of the alleyways behind the main street.
Rosaria has been running this deceptively large shop for over 50 years and is still going strong. An amazing selection of fine wines and spirits is available, along with ‘speciality foods' like capers, olives, spices, biscuits and a vast array of other local deli foods.
What we received was old fashioned personal service, with expert recommendations which try to best meet our requirements. We were also told that Rosaria does wine tasting for groups of visitors.
We very much enjoyed popping in here and highly recommend a visit here to get the best of Italian wine and traditional Italian service.

Great place to stop by and taste lots of different wines by lots of different producers! I emailed the owner (Reuben) before my visit and he had arranged for a tasting of 10 wines (3 white, 7 red) along with some snacks! Great place in the back that would work great for group visits!
