We arrived at this beach after visiting Catullus' villa on a hot and muggy August day. Beautiful beach with clear, transparent water. You can sit on the stones that emerge from the water and sunbathe or rent a sunbed at a reasonable price and rest in the shade of the trees looking at the lake. We also liked the bar... kind, friendly, reasonable prices. We had a nice relaxing afternoon

It was amazing as the white rocks were out of the water so we could walk right out where there is usually a few feet of water. A real example if global warming as so little rain this summer with some very hot weather. It would have been five star but for the loud beat music being played in the cafe spoiling what is a beautiful spot. I like this music at a festival but it was intrusive almost abusive in this setting.

Beach mostly with stones, very pretty and spacious. Almost crystal clear water. I highly recommend lake shoes because it is very slippery. Above the free beach there is a well-served establishment with bar, shower, bathroom and changing rooms. The thermal spring 500 meters from there is also beautiful although a little small. Recommended for a trip out of town, Sirmione is also worth it, obviously.

I was in Jamaica Beach on 5/07/2024 with my family and another couple. I had read some reviews that it will be one of the rather beautiful beaches of Sirmione but I must say that it was a disappointment because it was too crowded. For those of us who had not booked to have the cot, we had to wait until 14:00 to find one. The beautiful beach, however, I do not recommend it because you could not put your feet anywhere on the free part where there were no sun loungers. The line to go to the bathroom will be kilometric. The only positive thing is the bar, good prices and great service.

It is located at the end of the Sirmione peninsula, and is accessed by going down a dirt road that starts almost next to the entrance to the Grotte di Catullo (and the latter, as well as from the main entrance, can also be accessed from the beach , given that it is located right below the archaeological area). Mostly free, however there is also a bar/establishment that rents sunbeds arranged on grassy and shaded terraces. There is no real beach, but rather a low, light-coloured rocky coast that gradually enters the water, forming natural micro-pools. Very beautiful when seen from above, due to the wild appearance and the colors of the water, which make it look like a sea beach (to say exotic is perhaps an exaggeration), even if the presence of reeds and ducks reminds us that we are in a lake . The naturalistic and scenic context is certainly noteworthy and encourages you to walk among the flat rocks semi-submerged in the water, even if you have to be careful not to slip (rock shoes recommended). The rocks themselves, in the dry part, I find uncomfortable, because even though they are flat they are earthy and dusty, and you don't want to spread your towel on them. Of course, behind the rocks there is a whole lawn area, but this is mostly monopolized by the aforementioned bar/establishment, even if the prices charged are not exorbitant (10 euros for the daily rental of a sunbed).

Rarely seen such a small and overcrowded beach. Due to the very high, unusual water level of Lake Garda, the beach is much smaller than in previous years. You lie next to each other on gravel, stone slabs or lawn-like surfaces. Only the turquoise colour of the murky waters reminds of the South Seas. But it has nothing to do with Jamaica.

The „beach“ consists of big stone plates in and beneath the water. Not too much space, not much shade and probably very slippy steps into the lake (we didn’t try). A bar and music - but the place is probably a little overhyped.

We liked it a lot, after a very long walk in 37 degrees we were able to cool down nicely. Unfortunately we didn't have our water shoes with us, without them it's not so much fun (afterwards we only had them with us...you learn from your mistakes). It's a great view and a very chilled atmosphere. But you need a thick blanket to lie down comfortably (like almost everywhere on Lake Garda)

Jamaica Beach: a name that makes you think of beaches with very fine white sand, crystal clear green waters where colorful fish swim, immense palm trees to enjoy the shade on hot summer days.
Then you go there and find yourself walking along a gravel path that not only passes between Mediterranean olive trees that have nothing in common with palm trees and tropical plants, but which leads you to a small and neglected beach full of sunbeds more suitable for relaxing a hangover from drinking too many spritzes and sunbathing...not to mention the terrible music played from the bar's speakers.
But perhaps the fault lies with us, with us "...who are people of the Riviera..." (to quote the great Ivano Fossati), who are accustomed to the sea, its waves and its storms, its strong and impregnating agent that slaps you when the storm blows.
If you don't have anything better, settle for the lake.

A small corner of paradise on Lake Garda. Crystal clear water. Beach composed mainly of non-dangerous rocks (only a little slippery, so we recommend shoes). Excellent for a relaxing day and for an aperitif with friends or for a romantic moment as a couple.
Possibility of renting sunbeds. Highly recommended.

Hello.
Coming back to Garda again in six weeks. This we want to visit Jamaica Beach. My father is 84 and not 100% mobile. Is there any other way to get to the beach other than down the path mentioned, please? Any boats that go round there? Can a small boat be hired to sail there ourselves?
Thank you in advance for any responses.

I thought this beach had a nickname too. Does anyone know this name?

In settimana è sicuramente meno affollata.
