Lake Garda Afternoon Sightseeing Cruise from Sirmione

30 reviews
Savor the scenery and sights of Lake Garda on a 4-hour afternoon cruise from Sirmione. Board a comfortable boat and sail along the lake’s western shores past islands, towns, villas, and more. Glide by the Roman Grotto of Catullus and one-time mansion of Maria Callas, see the islets of San Biagio and Garda and stop for an optional swim. Finally, take a stroll in Salò and toast views of Gardone with a glass of Prosecco.

The „beach“ consists of big stone plates in and beneath the water. Not too much space, not much shade and probably very slippy steps into the lake (we didn’t try). A bar and music - but the place is probably a little overhyped.

A short walk from the old castle - 15 mins or so, there is also a transport for a couple of euros We spent 4 hours here from about 3pm. It was a really wicked area. Quite busy but enough space for everyone. If you like laying a towel down and chilling then its awesome. The water is very shallow around and so you can sit at different depths enjoying the sun. If you go out past the rock shelf it is deeper for swimming. The beach is not sandy, rock shelf and rocky but quite okay, not sharp. The rock shelf under the water is pretty slippery. Really nice atmosphere, will go again

It is very different to swim in a lake as you dont have to put with the salt with the sea or chlorine with swimming pools. The swim with fresh water is just great. As of Jamaica beach Its a flat rock beach can be slippery in some parts and its mainly shallow until you get to the end where it drops off. I do recommend swimming in lake garda and i think this is the best area to swim at, you get amazing views of the lake and the roman villa ruin in the back of you that you can only sea while in the water.

Overcrowded would be an understatement. Due to the amount of people and limited space on the lakeside everyone is elbow to elbow. I’d recommend avoiding the main spot and getting access by boat or the pizzeria on the other side of the main location which is a little less crowded. Alternatively if you’re just wanting to enjoy the views, and not a swim, you get great views from touring the Grotto above. Enjoy a swim at any of the other locations nearby ;) (minus the rocks)
