Great castle with spectacular views across sirmione peninsula. Long queues for admission. I'd recommend going up the road to the (still long but)shorter queue at the villa ruins and buying the ticket for both. You can skip the line then!

A real gem. It’s worth the wait, whilst it’s busy it provides some amazing photos. If you’re under 25 tickets are considerable cheaper, therefore take ID. Parking in Sirmione can be an event, therefore get there early or just park on the outskirts as you’ll...More

From the top of the castle there are nice views to peninsula. Better to get there in the morning before it gets too crowded.

A very lovely little castle only let down by the lack of historical information in the form of signs / guides. A large section of the castle was shut off when we visited (April 2019), this may have been a museum area, so it may...More

When you enter This castle you see and feel the history. The whole area is fabulous so going beyond this castle is worthwhile.

This castle greets you as you cross into Sirmione.and looks beautiful when lit up at night. It is worth going in just for the stunning views, however not much more to it than that as the entrance fee would suggest.

This is such a great icon of Italy; a beautiful castle with great architecture and a pice of history that provides a great gateway to the town of Sirmione. It offers great views of the town and and extraordinary experience of Italy. A great place...More

The view from the tower is amazing, and the castle very picturesque, but otherwise not overly interesting.

I can confirm that. The combined ticket cost me 12 euros last November. You can buy the ticket at either of them.

We took the train to Densenzano. It was on a Sunday so there may be a different schedule on weekdays. Then took a taxi to the Spa. There may be public transport but can't help you on that. Definitely worth a visit!
