I had the privilege to sing with the Yale Russian Chorus Alumni during the annual Lake Garda noncompetitive Choral Festival. This is a gorgeous modern church with wonderful acoustics, beautifully landscaped in a fantastic setting! Quite near Lake Garda which is one of the most beautiful portions of the Veneto in Italy.

We happened to come about this beautiful church while waiting for the bus. The inside of the church seems quite modern but statues are very old and beautiful the wall to the side of the church has a large fresco showing Jesus surrounding bay the disciples.

Recent church (late 1960s) located far from the historic center, in the modern Colombare district, before the beginning of the narrow peninsula that enters the lake. Located above a small, green artificial hill, where a statue of Saint Francis stands out, it has a particular structure: circular in plan, with the vault created as if to simulate a tent, which can be perceived even better from inside, observing the shapes of the reinforced concrete roof; the façade (placed orthogonally to the presbytery) is undulating and the wall on the left is made up of sections of wall, in blocks of limestone of different sizes, staggered between them and "hinged" by narrow and tall colored glass windows and protected by railings from the complex design and incorporating rough colored glass "stones". The interior, in the shape of an exedra, converges towards the presbytery located at the lowest point and which behind it has a concave wall covered by a mosaic, like the apses of classical churches but this one is more reminiscent of the hood of a large fireplace. There are several interesting works to see, such as the main altar of the presbytery itself, made with a mill wheel, but with a bronze decoration along the circumference and resting on a Greek capital from the 1st century BC; then to be appreciated are the polychrome paintings in relief of the Via Crucis, the paintings present and donated by private individuals, including two detached frescoes from the 1300s, a beautiful polychrome high relief of the Madonna and Child and the Bronze Door of Sirmione, by Luciano Vicentini.
