My daughter chose this church to get married in. On the day it was just magical!!!! As it is quite a busy little square, the traffic stopped as the beautiful church bells started ringing at her arrival! Inside it was so lovely (not too big)...More

In the main square of this quiet and beautiful village. This town reminds us of the villages in cinque terre. Quite hilly and colourful. Walk on the back roads up hill and then down to the square and around the the waterfront returning to the...More

Sadly a damp day to visit this 14th century church, with grey stone which broods over the town as one approaches by ferry. Walking up from the lakefront into the piazza, the church looms above the square with its later-built bell tower to the right....More

This church is at the center of Varenna's main piazza. It was originally consecrated in 1313 but restored in the mid 1950's and reconsecrated in 1961. The church is a vital part of this community and the bells can be heard throughout the day. This...More

Varenna was just a beautiful quiet small town to relax. We stay here for 2 nights, more for the fact that there is a direct train connection to Milan. Love staying in this town, much better than somewhat overrated Bellagio short distance across the lake.

A lovely old church and bell tower in the town square. The bells ring every half hour with extended ringing at 12 noon. Also each morning. Lots of history.

If you would like to visit churches in Italy, this is one to see. Although modest and plain, it is serene and quiet. Right in the heart of the main piazza of the town, it is not to be missed. In addition, it had some...More

This very pretty church is located in the main square of the high part of the city and it is a great landmark of this lovely square. Fairly simple inside but with some interesting features

Also, you could contact the church or Varenna and ask. There is a monastery down the street a short ways on the lake which would be a beautiful venue.
