We decided to try to find the river that never flows, Fiumelatte. Sure enough it wasn't flowing in early October! But the walk was pretty and we ended up in Pino at a family run restaurant, that had a lovely view of Lake Como. Wear...More

Walked this greenway many times during our stay. Wear good shoes as some of the walkway is made from small stones that can hurt the feet if there is not enough sole to your shoe. Very pretty and interesting walkway however.

the walk of the green way and footpaths to the castle and "sorgente" are beautiful. The sorgente was pretty dry when we saw it, but mossy green and very pretty. The views from the green way are spectacular

Varenna must be the prettiest little town on the shore of the Lago di Como. The walkway is built out over the lake and is an easy stroll with seating and covered areas where you may find a musician entertaining the crowds. There are also...More

This walkway overlooking the lake from the ferries into the town centre is a must do. The views are stunning. A great experience.

We started in Varenna and walked to Pino. Nice views of the lake. Unfortunately it was very dry in July so Fiumelatte wasn't much to look at. Very little water. However there was a small waterfall along the trail which provided a nice cooling spot...More

We walked from the ferry dock back to the monastery on this lovely, winding path along the waterfront. Beautiful houses, flowers and trees line the walkway. You pass little tourist shops and cafes. Steep stairs lead you back up into the main town of Varenna....More

We walked along the greenway - some of it is through some gentle shaded woods - parts of it are street surface. It takes you to the town cemetery - which is interesting to wander through. A nice walk
