The castle is definitely not worth a long drive just to visit it, but if you are in the Meissen-Dresden region, it's a nice visit. Parts of the castle have been transformed into apartments and parts may be visited. It's a good example of how today's life can be harmonized with yesterday's ... and help pay for the maintenance of the building! And it adds a nice cosy atmosphere to see people read a book or play cards in the castle yard which is their garden. Children will enjoy being scared in the dungeon or in the medieval torture instruments rooms! There were only a few visitors, which makes for a quiet, relaxing visit. The entrance fee is not high.
