About

Really like this area to bike, motorbike and walk.
I have taken these pictures at the Lungolago Isonzo in Lecco.
This place is full of life and views.
Not too touristic, Lecco is really an enjoyable city on the lake.
But it is certain that on your bicicletta (bicycle) you'll see more (and better) of this place. Adapted for couples as well as families, even with small children.
For youngsters seeking nightlife there are bars and restaurants, as well as places to go out.

I walked this trail along the river and it was very enjoyable. There is one section where you have to walk in an alleyway, but it was perfectly safe. I also rode the trail on a bike. Min fact, you can ride all the way around lake Garlate and then come back to Lecco on one of the bridges in town.

Depending your time, you can cover more than 30/40 km. from Lecco direction south, discovering amazing lake view and little and scenic little, ancient villages as Imbersago after about 20 km. where you find a Leonardo da Vinci "hand-ferry boat".

This place is enjoyed by locals mainly or Italians, we didn't see any tourist but it was great because we enjoyed the locals habits, here you can walk along the side or do a bike ride or simply sit on one of the benches and enjoy some bread with cheese and ham like they all do here, very relaxing views and none bothers you, no annoying tourists around. Highly recommended.

Good for everyone. From the city center, following the path south you will follow the Adda River to Garlate Lake and after crossing at Olginate you can eventually follow it all the way down to Milan. Following it north the walking path stops a bit after Lecco, but on bike you could continue up road to Mandello de Lario and Varenna There are points in which the path is interrupted but just ask a local for "la pista ciclabile" and they will point you the way on how to get back on track.

It’s really a beautiful path! We did it very often with our children. To complete the lecco’s part it’s 18 km long.

Suggest to take a walk along Adda river, up and down from Brivio. One of the very best full immersion in the nature.

Hello. I and my wife arrive at 29/08 in Rhodes and we'll be up to '8 September. We are Italian, and we'd like to have this experience !! which dates are available?
You need to book? We have the hotel right in Archangelos, so we have no problems to reach the meeting point.
Thank you

Hi,
Deprnding how much time you can spend on the trip, you can start from Lecco and follow the lake before and the river Adda after. The trip is long till to 60/80 km, almost Always with no car access.
If you have 2/3 days you can sleep in a little budget hotel that you will find in the little villages by way.
If you have only 1 day, i suggest to arrive by train till to Brivio, 15 km. From Lecco and following the Adda till to Paderno s'Adda. It is a 15/16 km long and it is the most interesting trip, all in a cyclable route without cars.
PS
Tomorrow i will be in Brivio with friends.
Have a nice trip
Guido
