Took the boat that stops about 10 times before bellagio which was perfect to see the surrounding villages around lake como. On the way back we got a faster boat that does just 3 stops before como. The first boat took over 2 1/2 hrs to get to bellagio the return trip was 90 mins. The views on the first... More

The ferry is good for foot passengers and cars, although the timetable is slightly complex, and nothing seems to be consistent. Be prepared for a scrum. Queuing is non existant and I got verbally abused trying to get on after getting split up from my family by other tourists. Everyone wants a window seat! Staff are typically italian which sadly... Te trip to Belagio is long but it is worthed. The place is beautiful. Bring trunks to swim in the lake if you go in summer time. There you walk in the narrow streets, shop, and eat well. There are a number of restaurants and cafes. In Pesalo (part of Belagio) one can swim. Buy the round trip ticket in... More

Weather can be undependable, and neither the boat nor walking through the towns is much fun in the rain. If the weather looks to be fine for most or all of the day, take the one and only, later morning, larger boat to see the entire lake. There are ticket options to get on and off a couple of times.... We drove up the eastern side from Cernobbio and took the Ferry back to Cadenabia and drove down the other side back to the Sheraton Lake Cuomo. They offer slow boats , fast boats and are very well organized and efficient. There was a real Nasty ticket sales clerk at the Bellagio office and he was rude to everyone, even... More

This was the easy and inexpensive way for us to get from our hotel on the lake to the city of Como, and also a great way to get to Bellagio and other cities along the lake. The fast boat gets from Como to Bellagio in 45 minutes with fewer stops than the slow boat, (which is in essence the... More

Catching the slow ferry is the best way to take in the magnificent scenery on lake Como. It does take 2.5 hours to get to Bellagio from Como as it zig zags all over the lake to the small towns, however the views make up for the long duration. Definitely try to get on early from Como to grab a... More

No need to book just buy your ticket from the ticket booth and off you go. We had fabulous weather when we visited Como so the scenery was stunning. We visited on the train from Milan and had a lovely day here. This is a must do

Cheap and easy to access. The views are stunning on all side of the boat. These boats are fairly large. The ride is gentle and smooth. Catch some sun on the upper deck and let the breeze keep you cool as you gaze across the water at famous villas and hotels. Highly recommended.

This is almost a must if you visit the Como lake for a few days. You can take the boat from let us say Bellagio to Como or visa versa, or from Lecco to Bellagio and visa versa (a little less interesting). The trip takes roughly 1,5 to 2 hours you take a coffee or ice cream take a walk,... More
