Nima took my friend and I on a very one of a kind private hike in Lake Como. He was so patient and fun and we had just the best time together. We were not experienced what so ever with long hikes and Nimo totally gave us all the information and supplies we needed. If you’re looking for something unique and not your average tourist trap type of experience then you should book with them! They picked us up at the hotel and drove us to the hiking spot so it was very convenient. Thank you Nima :)

We contacted Ecco Adventures for a one-day excursion around Lake Como while staying in Varenna for a few days during our vacation in Northern Italy. We had already done a lot of sightseeing around the lake by ferry and explored some of the villages by foot, but we didn't have a car and we were hoping to check out the surrounding mountains and villages further north. Andre picked us up around 8:30 AM in the piazza near our Airbnb and we began our scenic drive through the mountains, countryside and villages as he explained the various sites along the way. Per our request, Andre put together an itinerary that included hiking and biking with stops for breakfast and lunch. Seems everywhere we went he'd strike up a conversation with local town folk who'd offer up interesting facts and recommendations for things to do in their region. After driving what seemed to be about two-thirds of the way up one of the mountains, we hiked to the summit for some breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the lake below. On the way back down we stopped for lunch at a mountain restaurant that included local wine, cheeses, gnocchi, veal and the best ravioli I ever tasted. We wanted to work off our lunch at a leisurely pace, so Andre arranged for us to bike across the relatively flat area in the Pian di Spagna with views of farms and waterways with the mountains in the background. We then headed back for our drive home, stopping by some interesting villages along the way. We managed to pack a lot into our one day, but we regret not having more time to spend on the lake kayaking or sailing, or exploring other parts of the mountains and surrounding areas. With their enthusiasm, knowledge and ability to customize a trip to suit your interests and physical ability, I'd definitely recommended booking a tour with Ecco Adventures!

Can’t even describe the day we just had with Andre from Ecco adventures. He took us on a day long personalized tour of pre alpi mountains in lecco , Italy we we started with fresh croissants and made our own coffee. Then climbed by car and foot to almost 1700 Meters above the clouds and had a homemade Lunch by a local family up there. On the way back he took us to the most amazing church built in 1200 and we spent time with the caretaker , Albina, who proudly told us the incredible story of the church and its historic art . Not possible to describe what an amazing day we had 😊

Also we met Andre 3 days ago while visiting lake Orta , this is his second year with his business. Highly recommend him!! Ecco Adventures , Milan and Como area 👍👍👍

I was in Italy a few weeks ago with a couple of girlfriends and when we arrived at our hostel in Milan we came across the Ecco Adventures poster and immediately called. Andre answered and was extremely accommodating, he came to pick us up the next morning. We had no idea that we were in for the most amazing experience. He took us on a hike and showed us Lake Como. We went kayaking in Lake Como and he took us on a road trip of northern Italy. We saw and did things we could have never imagined doing if it weren't for Andre. He also taught us lots of Italian on the way. If you are ever in Italy, Ecco Adventures is the way to go!! Thank you Andre for the memories that will last a lifetime!

It was our first day in Milan, and after visiting incredible Duomo and Castello Sforzesco we were thinking to dedicate our second day visiting Lake Como. Walking around canals we met two intelligent young men, Andre and Nima, who introduced us their company “ECCO Adventures” and offered us to take one-day trip to mountains and Lake Como.

It was a real wonder, because it was exactly what we needed!

Andre and Nima collected us direct near our hostel at 8 o’clock in the morning next day and we started our travel! During driving to mountains Andre and Nima told us a lot of interesting things about Italy, its culture, traditions, language and food. As we were interested in Italian language, Nima gave us a basic course of Italian language :) After his course we were inspired to continue learning Italian language at home :)

Little later we had our first stop for breakfast, prepared by Andre and Nima, in the place with a beautiful view of the Lake. Additionally we learned how to cook a real Italian coffee and how to recognize Espresso, Cappuccino and Macchiato, which is very important in Italy!

Then we started hiking. It is not so easy to find the words to describe this amazing beauty of mountains! Andre and Nima helped us to hike and were always looking after our safety.

After hiking we visited very lovely local trattoria of nice Italian family. The dishes were very delicious and tasty! Even vegetarians will find something special in menu!

And finally we visited Lake Como, where we had opportunity to rest and swim.

We are very thankful to Andre and Nima for their special help with delivering us to Milan train station after our trip. They organized everything perfectly, that we took our train.
Thank you very much, Andre and Nima, for very interesting travel to mountains and Lake Como! It was a real pleasure to spend this day with so open, intelligent, friendly and helpful people as you!

I will recommend “Ecco Adventure” tours to all, who are going to visit North Italy and, of course, I will look forward to take a new tour with you in future!

Good luck and warmest regards from Poland and Ukraine,
Natalia and Nadia

Dear Andre and Nima, thanks that you met us that summer evening in Milan and offered a trip to the Lake Como. It was really the best day of our trip to Italy. It was interesting, fun and comfortable with you.

Thank you for teaching us Italian, helping us to climb up the mountain. That you have prepared a breakfast for us (juice, coffee and croissants were great), and then enjoyed milk chocolate and lemonade with bubbles (i do not know how do you call that)! Special thanks that you tied me laces (Andre) and for the video of my super slow jump (Andre) !!!

In addition, it was interesting to watch how you drive the car with these steep turns. And thanks for this wonderful restaurant in a mountain village. The food was very tasty! Especially a deer...) And for the opportunity to swim in the lake)

Guys, you are in your place! If we come back to Milan, be sure we will book an excursion with you again!

P.S. And thanks Andre, who drove us to the station in time, and Nima, who helped us to buy tickets and we still managed to get on the train! You are real and sincere!

And sorry for my not perfect English(((

Best regards from Ukraine and Poland,

your fans Nadiia and Natalka

Andre handed me a flyer for Ecco Adventures in a non-pushy, friendly manner, letting me know that his company do slightly different day tours away from touristy areas and involving hikes and some education about Italy, it's language, culture and history. This was what we had been hoping for.

The day trip had a natural, easy flow to it, enjoying coffee and pastries and a beautiful view of the lake, experiencing the entertaining local road etiquette, hiking up a mountain for more views with Andre and Nima providing fast and slow pace options, a lovely group lunch with wine and then a visit to a local farming family to sample some mountain-matured formaggio. Andre and Nima gave us options for more activities and we chose to visit a local church with an adorable caretaker with a great story to tell, Andre and Nima acting as very competent translators. We had picked Andre's and Nima's brains in planning our final day in Italy before a late flight home the following day and Nima had recommended a day in Pavia, which suited us perfectly as we had family links and had always wanted to visit.

Based on our interests, Andre and Nima created a flexible, bespoke tour of Pavia for us, again offering door-to-door service between our accommodation and the airport. They allowed us to take a lot of control of what we wanted to do, including meeting a family friend for coffee, looking at the cathedral and churches and, because they were such fun and interesting company, they joined in with all the activities and again, the day felt extremely easy and flowed completely naturally. We even finished off by listening to a bit of jazz music provided by the students at the university and were dropped at the airport in good time.

We cannot thank Ecco adventures enough for providing such a special, personalised tour. I hope they are able to continue to achieve their unique, educational and customer-focused service even when they are in high demand and I am excited to see what other tours they begin to offer in Italy because I would definitely want to bring family and friends back to experience more through Ecco adventures.
