The gate and wall date back to the Romans. It is interesting to see how the tower was multilevel, and you can see where the timbers would have divided the tower into separate floors.

We found this while out on a walk and were very pleased that we did.It is a huge arch that once you know its there you can use as landmark. It is also in the middle of the local market .
