Chiesa San Giorgio is a very small but beautiful church. This small church is worth 15 minutes of your time.

This Romanesque Church is located right next to the Municipality on the road as you enter the Borgo by car and It is opposite a set of steps that take you to lovely Pescallo. It was built between 1080 and 1120. Whilst the inside of the church is no longer ornate (except for an average fresco) it is still a nice place to spend a few moments and think what life was like around the lake back in the 11th Century.

The adjoining bell tower is a nice feature and it is well maintained.

As one walks around Bellagio and sees all the attractions you will pass The Church as you head to Hotel Belvedere or visit the children's park.

Between the Church and the Bell Tower is a set of steps, at the end of which you will see the Village Library built by Domenico Vittali

San Girgio is set back just a bit from the foreshore about a 10 minute walk east of the central Bellagio town centre. You need to wind your way down some narrow alleys although the high bell tower is easy enough to locate as a marker.
As churches go its nothing out of the ordinary as far as churches in Italy go. It does have nice stonework but nothing to really set it aside from thousands of similar churches in small towns throughout Europe

This little church has been here a long time, in this cute little village of cobbled staircases and narrow lanes.

Quit plain and non ornate, but it fills its purpose.

Chiesa San Giorgio is a little church located in Bellagio, an strategical town located in the center of the Lago di Como, where the three arms of the lake join. It is located in the North of Italy. This churxh is really little, but it is beautiful. You can enter and see the inner part. Good, recommendable if you walk around the center.

It's a contemporary to the Basilica and could not be more different. It dates back to between 1080 and 1120. It's on the main street so if you happen by...stop in and take a look.

Popped into this tiny church on a walk around Bellagio. Did not find anything particularly noteworthy about the structure, other than it is certainly small and intimate. I note that a few of the photos on this listing appear to be from elsewhere.

A lovely church with an interesting past, well explained in placards in several languages. Apparently most of the additions put on to keep up with the modern trends of more than a century ago have now been removed and there are some very attractive pieces of art, some more recent and others impossibly accient. I was so happy this small church was open! The old paintings on the walls were amazing, the beauty of the alter. I could imagine monks chanting and worshiping in this old church.
