Family owned and operated silk scarf extravagza. Was here 20 years ago and it is even better these days. The women who work in the shop are amazingly patient and knowledgeable. My sister bought her son a really funky tie that just suits his sense of humour and I was able to find a shawl type for cooler nights. Beautiful weight silks and designs, 1/2 the price of UK or US. Vibrant colours, neutrals, different weights and price points. There is something for every budget. The staff will assist and wrap your purchase beautifully. Made in Italy and they have an online presence as well. I still use and treasure the scarves I purchased from them on that first trip year ago. The best souvenir from touristy Bellagio you can purchase; practical, beautiful, portable and it won't break the bank. Treat yourself and your friends.

Azalea is a small store in Bellagio with a fine selection of high quality Italian made clothing as well as many beautiful styles of silk ties. The gentlemen that runs the store is very kind and helpful. Each year when I travel through Bellagio Italy I stop in to Azalea to see what is in stock and ultimately make a purchase. I highly recommend it.

Wow the BEST absolute best silk scarf! I bought about 15 different kinds that I wear & get many compliments. The price compare to quality & design is outrageously phenomenal. Best gift for a man or woman … the best quality & design!

We visited the delightful town of Bellagio on Lake Como and wanted to purchase some silk scarves for taking home gifts. After looking at a couple of shops we found this delightful store of quality silk scarves, stoles, shawls, ties etc.
The colours and patterns were stunning and the price was acceptable for such quality goods.
The staff were very helpful and gave advice without pressing for me to purchase. I did, in fact, purchase two beautiful scarves made of locally produced silk and cashmere. They are lightweight but warm and have exquisite patterns on both sides (almost like they are reversible).
One is in warm tones of orange and browns and the other in a rich purple colour in a kind of paisley pattern.
If you are looking for a silk scarf make this your first stop, you won't be disappointed.

Azalea is a family-owned store with beautiful silk, silk and cashmere, and wool goods. While the store stocks ties and silk handkerchiefs as well, my focus was on the many different styles and patterns of scarves. The charming mother and daughter team are very knowledgable but not at all pushy, and they were very helpful to me as I picked out Christmas presents for all the women in our family. Everything was just gorgeous and the prices remarkable given the outstanding quality. Even my husband, who generally isn't too enthusiastic about shopping, thought it was a lovely store and didn't fuss at all when I ended up with twelve individually packed sleeves of scarves. The daughter prepared the IVA paperwork for us (and patiently re-did the paperwork when I added more scarves at the last minute), unlike another store in Bellagio, which claimed there was no point doing the IVA tax (see my review of Saraceno!)

So many scarfs and so little time...... wife chose well and we highly recommend this business for silk clothing items, especially women's silk scarfs. Great staff provide attentive and patience services. Look no where else for these specialty items.

My wife made me walk up the steps twice to go to Azalea. At first, she wanted to look around a bit more before purchasing the silk scarf she fell in love with in the window on our first pass. Before getting back on the ferry, she made me turn around and go back up the steps to get the scarf. We were not leaving Bellagio without it.
Large selection, prices were reasonable and the packaging was gentle and beautiful. The staff was sweet, the silk was pretty and my wife was very, very happy. Honestly, I've looked at the scarf a few times since we got home and it brings a smile to my face.

From Missoni scarves to their own designs, this shop is a delight. They sell all sorts of square and long scarves, mainly in silk but also in linen, as well as a range of pashminas which appear to have different patterns on each side - wonderful feel and range of colours. The charming staff are happy to unfold and display anything you want to look at and are not at all pushy. I even got a quick lesson in different ways to fold a scarf I was considering! Only downside is that the shop are halfway up (or down) a cobbled stepped street, so you have to take care not to be distracted by the window display as you walk past! They have a second shop at the top of the street which also sells menswear and silk bags.

Azalea is the silk shop your tour guide will take you to. Hmmm... I wonder why? Well, it’s OK for a souvenir scarf or two, though the silk quality is
thin and the finishing minimal. Expect to be overwhelmed by family members hard selling you in a sweet, but ferociously determined way. Grandma “chose” two scarves for me, but when I searched for another I particularly liked, it had vanished... obviously “chosen” for another sap, I mean customer.

There are certainly better, far less hard-sell silk shops in Bellagio. Try Patrizia’s, for example, where you’ll find far better quality silk scarves, and more creative, modern designs. Prices are higher, but value is greater. (Tour guide never “heard” of this shop. Hmmm... I wonder why?)

I was so excited to find some beautiful silk scarves at this store. At least that's what I thought. The scarves were on a round rack which indicated they were a silk blend. I chose the one that I wanted and the woman gave me a brand new one already packaged. When I got home I noticed the tag said MODAL! The scarves all said "made from silk from Lake Como" or something like that. What a joke. Clearly I just got duped. It's probably made in China. Still a pretty scarf, but sad to know that they were not as advertised. Buyer beware!

Dear mrs Julie , we are really sorry that you are not pleased with what you bought in our store . You are our first customer that is not satisfied . Is true that we are specialized in silk but in our store we sell also different kind of fiber like cashmere, linen, cotton, wool and modal too . Modal in fact is a very new natural fiber that comes from a tree, well used also by big brands to produce stylish and modern accessories . On the rack where you picked the scarf there is a tag that says " Azalea Bellagio € 25 " but nowhere it is written " silk or silk blend " . Instead the label on the scarf is well visible and it says " 100% modal made in Italy " . Anyway if you are not happy with your choice please send it back and we will be glad to replace it with something else . Always at your disposal Azalea
