On our day trip from Milan to Lake Como our boat tour dropped us off in Bellagio, so we took a walk to the gardens of this Neoclassical Villa. The admission price of 8 euros per adult wasn't too bad as we spent around an hour walking around, upon entry you get a little guide which points out all the highlights of the gardens, my particular highlights were the photo opportunities around the Pavilion looking out over the lake and the small water garden with bridges near the entrance. Despite the drizzle it was still a peaceful and enjoyable walk around the gardens and highly recommended.

This is an absolutely wonderful garden. All sorts of interesting trees and plants. Entry fee is a very reasonable eight euros. Walk on the water down to the villa and on the return take the high path. Beautiful views all the way.

Step back in time and stroll the stunning gardens of the (still private) Villa Melzi in Bellagio, Lake Como. A short, pleasant stroll along the water from the harbor, the gardens, even in fall when we were there, are well worth a visit. Not only can you enjoy the meticulously maintained grounds, there is a detailed museum that outlines the heritage of the villa and the contributions of the family over the centuries. Highly recommend. Tip: Go early or later in the day to avoid crowds. Enjoy!

Bellagio is primarily a town of restaurants and upscale shops. If you want something otherwise to do then a visit to the Villa Melzi Gardens is a great activity. You cannot go in the Villa as it is private. The gardens are terrific. It will take about one hour to casually stroll through the garden. It follows the shoreline of LC with spectacular views.

Gorgeous gardens on the banks of lake Como in Bellagio. Walk on the flat front or meander up onto the layered terraces. There is an interesting museum within the garden which gives some history of its owners

The spectacular gardens of The Villa Melzi are a must if you are in Bellagio. I was fortunate enough to have free access to them for a week while renting an apartment that belonged to the Villa. If you are a garden lover take a boat trip across to the Villa Carlotta which is equally spectacular in a different way. Both have incredibly beautiful views of Lake Como. The Villa Carlotta offers a licensed restaurant as well as the gardens.

Love this English-style garden right off the lake. It's a great place to take a stroll in the afternoon, with statues, a pond, an Antiquarium, loads of gorgeous plants and trees. A nice, relaxing escape from the crowds.

Beautiful and huge garden. I was Disappointed that the villa was closed. Probably nothing inside it. The main attraction is in its botanical garden. Nice walk, uphill and down hill. You can find a spot with a lake view and eat your lunch there. We enjoyed it. I definitely recommend it...then take the 1/2 hr train tour outside of it to relax from all the walking 😄

Absolutely magnificent garden with breath-taking views of Lake Como. Guests can also enjoy a small yet fascinating museum housing a collection of ancient Etruscan, Roman and Egyptian artefacts. The pergola overlooking the lake is truly stunning.

This garden stretches to a few kilometers. It is sooooooo pretty, I can't explain. All hues of green are visible & all trees & shrubs have been well-manicured. There are benches to relax. Some trees are few hundred years old bcoz they have such wide trunks & are quite tall. On a pleasant day, we can spend an entire day here without getting bored. For those who have a green thumb, they will love the place even more. Definitely a must visit.
