The title says it all. A lovely, lively place to congregate, to relax, to have a meal or a drink. It's the very soul of any Italian city and I wish there were one in every American city, but I guess that's why we travel. Vive la difference.

This square is nice. The buildings all look really old. The church and the mayors complex are on the square. The church was a huge tower looming over the square. It’s really nice.

beautiful during the day for sightseeing and in the night/evening for numerous bars and pubs. Did not have a chance to try a dinner around.

A bit sleepy in mid-September but still good for people watching- Great Saturday market too. The scenery can't be beat because it's right in front of the Cremona Duomo. There are a couple of little cafes with outdoor tables to sip a Spritz and eat a plate of Cremona's famous (and FREE) appetizers and tables for the gelateria also share the large space. Ahhh...the life! You'll unwind for sure.

This medieval square, with the Duomo & tower dominating it, is truly lovely- probably the best medieval squares I've seen. The area, which is pedestrianised, is lit up at night making it even more stunning. A market is held in the square every Wednesday & Saturday with a specialist market (ornaments, jewellery, books, furniture etc.) being held just off the square on Sundays. Wandering around the square on Sunday was a delight- there were street performers blowing huge bubbles and a local fencing club giving a display. If you want a place away from the main tourist trail & full of local flavour then this is the place to be. It was lovely to see families & people of all ages all enjoying the atmosphere & free entertainment. It is a great place to enjoy coffee or indulge in an ice cream....

One of the best squares in Italy. The beautiful facade of a stunning cathedral is in front of a medieval town hall, under a very high brick tower.

Full of locals and children on the weekends. It's a great place to sit and have a cocktail or an ice cream. No cars, just handsome people, well behaved dogs and children. Go at night when its all lit up.

This beautiful, pedestrian-only piazza is considered one of the best-preserved medieval squares in all Italy. To maintain divisions between Church and state, buildings linked to the Church were erected on the eastern side and those linked to secular affairs were constructed on the west.
The Duomo, tower, baptistery, and Palazzo Communale (city hall) surround this distinctive and harmonious square. The combination of old brick, rose- and cream-color marble, terra-cotta, and old copper roofs brings Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance together in this delightful square.

Sure one of the most beautiful squares in Italy. The Chaphidral, the Battistero, the Palazzo del Comune and around the heart of the city with the nice streets in less then 500 meters.
