Hard to find - it's the glass doors next to the archway - but once you're in it's a good place to learn about what was discovered in the area. The reconstructed whale in particular. There is a cafe inside, and a kids area too.

The museum is really interesting and has lots of great displays. Definitely worth a visit if you have children. Entry to the science museum also gives you access to the archaeological museum.
