The rocca occupies a high point in the Citta Alta, so the views over the plain and hills is remarkable. Regrettably, the tower and the museum were not yet open when we visited, but we were early enough to be the only people there. As with many places in Italy, the Great War is…
Peaceful gardens, with lovely views out over the town (if a little overgrown). Warning signs about mosquitoes, although we weren't bitten during our afternoon visit.
Perfect place to look over the city and make fantastic photos. There is also a small museum of history of Bergamo. It is quiet inside the fortress - a nice place to meditate and relax in the morning.
It’s not a hard climb to get to the top of the tower. Couple hundred steps will get you a great view of the city. Didn’t go into the museum based on other peoples’ reviews.
The 5$ we paid for the museum was not worth it (small museum of history of bergamo, like 10mins to walk it all). The fort has nice view tho, but i don't think you need to pay for it
