If for instance Portifino is excellent, the historic centre of Rapallo is average indeed. It is still nice and has a wide extended pedestrian area with shops, bars and restaurants.

While there is no single sight in the centre of Rapallo which warrants more than three star, the essential attraction of Rapallo is the overall feel which certainly gets four stars.

Nothing like shopping in a affordable little city . Good fashion shops , open air market , restaurants, bars and people watching .

Here you find beautiful narrow alleys with a lot of different style shops, bars and many restaurants on cozy little squares. Lovely stay.

Typical Italian city centre, on cobble stone pathways and car free. Lots of places to eat and little shops selling clothing, Worth a walk through if in Rapallo,

Compared to many other places I have visied the old town lacks the buzz you would expect. No buskers at the restaurants, no street lights and not many shops open of an evening.
