One of the best things to do in Rapallo. After the chuch walk to ll pellegrino restaurant where you will get a fantastic capachino with stunning views. It's a pity that there are no night time buses running here-a great place for an evening meal.

Nothing overly special about this church but it is a great trip up in the cable car. You get some good views from the front of the church but even better views from the cafe 150 metres behind the church. When finished with the church head down the left hand side of the church. At the cafe you can sit... More

We took the cable car to reach the hill, some steps up and you reach the magnificent Sanctuary. From there the view is outstanding, you see the city, hills and the great blue of the sea. The Sanctuary itself is a piece of art, not too big but it is worth to see. Besides this, there are different paths behind... More

The journey up the mountain via cable car is a great experience in itself with fabulous views and transition into a different, more peaceful place. The church is beautiful with woodlands around it and old charming stations of the cross not far behind it. The restaurant is a lovely stop even for a coffee which tastes even better with outstanding... More

We took the cable car up to the top of the hill, primarily to get a good look at the entire city of Rapallo. We were pleasantly surprised by the cute little church at the top that had painted stained glass and pretty mosaics. It felt more like a place of worship and pilgrimage than a tourist destination.

Enjoy the inexpensive finicular (cable car) that takes you from the modest parking lot to the very top of the mountains where this church sits above Rapallo. There is a stairway but you''d have to be nuts to try to climb either up or down. The Church is active in the adoration of the Virgin Mother with many chapels and... More

The cable car trip was nice, it would have been one heck of a walk. The views from the church and the top are OK, the local vegetation and buildings get in the way a bit but without them it would be ugly. So, nice trees, you get some nice, restricted views back to Rapallo and a chance to eat.... More

I enjoyed the trip up in the cable car to visit the Santuario do Montallegro. At the top the view was fantastic and the setting so serene and peaceful. A visit to the cafe before the trip down wrapped up the experience nicely.
