Took the ferry over to Portovenere from the La Spezia harbor - a short and pleasant trip. It is a bit of a hike uphill to get to the site, but definitely worth the walk. The views are spectacular and the historic ambiance is magnificant.

You can view the castle from the harbour it if you want to do more walking then you can climb the steps for a great view along the. Last and out to sea

It's really worth 1,50Euro entrance. You get really amazing view at Vernazza. Perfect place for photo and short relax time. really really nice - absolutely worth visiting.

Nice view to Vernazza, however entrance is not free (smth like 5 euro per person). Anyway climbing there won't take very long.
