Chiesa Abbaziale di Santa Maria Assunta located on Piazza Giulio Beverini has importance to the history of La Spezia. It was first built by the 13th century but rebuilt after WWII as destroyed by bombing. The external polychrome marble facades were impressive while there were 3 naves with arches supported by Corinthian columns inside. Worth to have a look inside.
