It's a nice statue in a quite rundown park. I was badly impressed with the conditions of the gardens and the bad smell around constructions. To my surprise, the park holds the office of parks and gardens administration...

Refurnished in 2011 on the 150th Anniversary of the founding of Italy. The statue is well kept, unlike other parts of the central park. Worthy tribute and great feature of the city

Great place to stop, take a break from busy street, take a seat and enjoy this landmark amongst the nice gardens, great to see just before the sun goes down.

Garibaldi was a mercenary fighting for the british interests. All this stories about him were made up. With the historical revision in course I am surprised by the fact that the statue is still there.

Giuseppe was a pretty prominent person in Italian history as a soldier, politician and fierce nationalist. So he has parks, squares, streets etc. named after him all over Italy since his demise in 1882. Not overly loved by all during his lifetime but Joseph Marie...More
