Open from Tuesday/Sunday 10:00 18:00 Monday 14:00 18:00, while from June to August 10:00 12:00 and 17:00 22:00.
Cost of €4.00 per adult €3.00 reduced (over 65, children 4/12 years) free children from 0/3 years. Possibility of purchasing a combined ticket for the Aquarium + Biosphere + Bigo.
Duration 7/10 minutes and departs approximately every 10 minutes between one ride and another.
The Bigo is a panoramic lift located in the Old Port of Genoa, a stone's throw from the Aquarium.
It performs an important tourist function.
The name derives from the old airport cranes (bighi) that lift it and move goods and loads arriving in the port.
Structure with a base in water from which white arms extend and open like a fan. Each arm has a different length, the longest arm supports the panoramic lift complete with a circular cabin.
The cabin slowly rotates on itself when it reaches its maximum height, offering a view of the entire city and the Old Port below.
Very nice 360° panorama and 40m high.
Cab obviously with transparent glass to allow visibility. Inside, decorative panels for curiosities of the visible monuments (also in English, French, German). There is also an illustrative map that explains the view with the monuments to admire highlighted.
No air conditioning, it will be 10 minutes of crazy heat as it is always under the sun: a sauna in motion.
Nothing exceptional, but still reasonably priced. If you have a few minutes to spare, why not? Going at sunset certainly changes the view completely.

It is not the only panoramic point from which to admire the city and port but considering its slow rise and 360 degree rotation the experience is still pleasant. It wasn't a weekend or even a boom period for tourism with zero queues and little waiting. Ticket cost €5 (reduced €4) and attraction duration approximately 10'.

Nice idea of this elevator going up over the harbor, but it can definitely be improved! Seeing a city from above and 'always a good thing, especially for children, we 'happened in the evening, too bad for the short duration, they should lengthen' the time and change the cabin by including seats, maybe a circular sofa. In short, nice but improveable.

After having bought a combined ticket for the visit to the aquarium, we go full of curiosity about the ascent to the ancient port. We find ourselves queuing under the sun, after having purchased a ticket online which gives us no priority over those who buy the ticket before getting on. Perhaps everything could have been managed with more attention, especially families with children.

I was disappointed and somewhat irritated by the guilty disorganization. Meanwhile, it is not clear, by booking and paying in advance, that EFFECTIVE opening hours are limited. Our Reservation, with open hours, actually could have been enjoyed only at 17.00. Upon boarding the only operator informed us that we were too many, that the cabin does not have a ventilation system or air conditioning so there would be an uncomfortable situation, so he invited those who could return the next day. We were among them. Too bad that the next day they did not open just for bad weather forecasts (actually then it was a simple day with variable cloudiness). Obviously no refund or possibility to return in another period.

Beautiful panoramic lift in the port of Genoa, it has a circular shape and allows you to see the city from above. You go up to about 40 meters in height, do a 360 degree turn and then turn it back on.
It deserves it

If you purchase the combined aquarium it is included in the package. A truly beautiful experience, the lift allows you to have a remarkable view of the city of Genoa and the ancient port and my 4 year old really liked it a lot. The elevator rotates and therefore wherever you sit you can see practically everything.

"Closed due to wind" even if the wind wasn't there and you can see them well since 10 meters away there are particular blades moved by the wind.
The ticket was purchased together with the aquarium, children's city and biosphere.
The fact that in the ticket combo the only attraction that cannot be eliminated is this "bigo" makes it clear why.
The Eatitaly building in front of this sad elevator is taller.
In short... bi bello only has Renzo Piano's project.

We had the ticket which includes bigo and the biosphere as well as the aquarium, we went up around 11, we had to wait 20 minutes inside it was really very hot and if it hadn't been for the fan that I always carry with me I would have had to go out, really too.
The elevator rises to 40 meters and then slowly turns 360 degrees. Cute but nothing special.
€5 the price.

A non-attraction (i.e. very artificial) born before such attractions became fashionable! Now she finds success despite not being held as it should be. Yet it would be of little use.
In a city like Genoa, considering air conditioning the Bigo should be an obligation! Also to make tourists enjoy the attraction better!
It's really a shame because in reality the visit is worth it and every now and then it even attracts the Genoese...
