The hunt to find Romeo Viganotti was almost as much fun as their chocolates are delicious. Tucked away in the very narrow streets of old Genova, Google Maps was invaluable - we never would have found it otherwise. It's closest to the Christopher Columbus house stop on the red hop on hop off bus - walk up through the gate to the old city and down into the narrow streets. Luck and Google Maps should get you there. The shop is tiny, and full of delicious chocolatey surprises - my favourite was the orange peel covered in dark chocolate. The lady who served us spoke very little English but was lovely - and let's face it, the love of chocolate transcends everything.…

I went to the ice cream shop today. Yes it was difficult to find but definitely worth it. I tried ricotta with nuts and pineapple with ginger which was more of a sorbet. I also had a tiny taste of the gorgonzola which was interesting. I'm not sure if I would have a cone or tub of it but I had a delicious coriander ice cream served with a salad once so I'm quite open minded!…
