The most impressive thing of the castello is the offered views of city and sea from here. The museum itself has a well documented history in around 15 stages (italian and english) and it is worth reading this in order to understand the history of...More

The bellower and castle round tower as well as the beautiful small park afford a magnificent view of the five towns. Well worth the climb.

The castle is located on the hillside and visible if you stroll through the city center of Riomaggiore. The building is quadrangular with two round towers, not much inside but from here you have a beautiful view.

Last month I was in Riomaggiore and before the sun came down went exploring up to some higher ground. I stumbled across the castle and although it wasn't much to see itself, the sunset views from the castle are gorgeous.

The castle itself is not much, quite small wit room and a bell tower. But the connected small park offers the most beautiful view of the city and the coastline towards the other four cities.

A nice walk up , lots of stairs to be expected in the Cinque terre but great views especially on sunset. There is lovely terra-cotta seating just below the Castello where you can sit any time of the day and enjoy the beautiful scenery

A mostly empty fortress that does not have much to see. Vernazza's is much better and has a much better view.
