The folks down on the beach and climbing the big rock seemed to be enjoying themselves. Watched them from our seats at a beachfront restaurant.

The beach is a mixture of course sand and small rocks. It is grey, not white. The rock formations are the prettiest part. This is the largest of the two beaches in Monterosso al Mare. There are several beach clubs where you can rent chairs...More

Nice beach. Must take some time in the afternoon to take in some fun and sun. Try and avoid the crowds on the weekend.

You can see this rock from the promenade and also from various restaurants along the beach. Really nice and peaceful and lovely views. Lots of people swimming and climbing the rock.

This is a tranquil and refreshing beach. It’s best to wear beach shoes as the sand is rough and rocky, people roam the beach offering massages which is the ultimate relaxing experience. Beautiful beach

It is ok yet can get very crowded in August and the water starts getting a little murky. The sandy beaches are small so forget privacy!!! However, if you can swim further out to sea, you will get cleaner water (comparing it to Emilia Romagna..YUK)!!and...More

Never been in a country where someone fenced a piece of the beach with ropes, call that a ‘private’ beach and start charging €23 for an umbrella and two chairs. That’s what we saw on our last trip to Italy, visiting Cinque Terre the last...More
