We went to Cinque Terre in the fall, so it was very quite and admittedly wonderful! This small shop was honestly one of the highlights. The Limoncino "Sangallo" was the BEST ever! I bought 3 bottles with the intention of giving one away as a gift... couldn't do it! I am savoring every sweet drop. The attendant at the shop... More

We had a fantastic time talking to the lady who was manning the counter of this shop. She was very friendly and let us taste a number of limoncinos, and explained to us how each type was made. We also tried chocolate and strawberry liquor, pesto, and other products from the area. The sales lady spoke very good English as... More

I was in Monterosso al Mare (Cinque Terre) for my birthday, which happened to fall on the first day of their Lemon Festival. This was our third trip to Monterosso, but our first time to Cantina du Sciacchetrà. I really have nothing more to add about the friendliness and outgoing personality of Lorenzo that hasn't already been stated in previous... More

We were looking for a friendly and welcoming place to purchase some local wines and liqueurs and were getting frustrated with unhelpful shop owners...that is when we happened to walk into Lorenzo's Cantina du Sciacchetra and met the most friendly, funny, entertaining, welcoming and informative man in all,of Monterosso! Lorenzo, you are amazing! Lorenzo was very happy to allow us... More

We stumbled across this place because I wanted to buy a large ceramic bowl which was out the front. When we went inside we met such a nice, funny, intriguing man behind the counter who was already entertaining a couple of other tourists. We all got talking and he let us sample local wines, limoncello and pesto. We spent almost... More

This is a fabulous place to sample the various tastes of Italy's liqueurs, pesto, and marmalades for free while enjoying Lorenzo's, the owner, company. The small shop is packed with a huge variety of different items which are perfect for souvenirs or just bottles to share while touring. But the reason to return is Lorenzo. Smart and funny, he regaled... More

We purchased souvenirs from this store in 2009 & returned again a few weeks ago to re-stock our supply of melone and strawberry liquers and to purchase souvenirs for friends. The store has changed hands but retains all of the charm that the old one did. The owner, Lorenzo, was very friendly and service-oriented. He offered up samples and I... More

Wide selection of products, you can get free tastings of wine and local liqueurs. Owners speak English and many locals stop by just for a chat and a glass of wine.
