very impressive

Very impressive. It easily accessible and you would pass it while walking from one part of town to the other.

It's just a short hike from the beach to Dawn Tower & it's definitely worth the walk for the views from the top.

This tower, like the church and tower in the town square, help you to see beyond the tourists to what the village was like in the past. You can readily get a good view of the tower from the shore or even better from the stairway up to the old Caputian Monastery. If you chose the overland route to the... More

This was really interesting and we would have missed it if we had taken the tunnel from the old town to the new town. There is an old nazi fortification "pill box" next to the tower. It is eerie, but you can go right in. Fascinating.

really people there is almost no climb to this tower. You need to walk upwards a bit and then downwards. It's even wheelchair/stroller accessible. You must be mistaken this with the trail that starts a bit farther away to Vernazza. Yes you have a nice view over the 'harbor' from here and it's nicer than walking through the tunnel to... More

This former defence tower is situated between the old and the new parts of the village and a tunnel takes the road behind the tower. The tower is now a private residence.

The walk was worth it - the views over the sea is beautiful. Enjoy the fresh air and pause often to drink in the beauty of the Liguarian seaside.

The tower itself is quite uninspiring, but the views are very much worth the climb up. You can tie this in nicely with a trip to the Capuchin Monastery too.

We loved this hike in the rain. Easy to get to with a neat view of the city. When your rained out of hiking the 5 towns this is a good option
