Faro della Vittoria (lighthouse) Is open only a few hours a day and in different times. You can take the lift or walk to the top of one of the highest lighthouses in Europe. Opened by the King of Italy at the time, Vittorio Emmanuelle. Offers a breath-taking view on Trieste! Excellent photo opportunity. Free entry

This is one of the most famous landmarks in Trieste. I suggest visiting it during the Barcolana boat race. Spectacular photos from there!

A very pretty lighting house with amazing view on Golf of Trieste. Romantic place to visit and a charming angel sculpture in the top of it.

You can have an excellent view of the gulf and the Regatta Barcolana, really easy to get, just take the bus 42 or 44. On the day of the Barcolana wich is the biggest regatta in Europe you need to get there really early to catch a good spot. But it's definitive worthy.

The last attraction of our Trieste holiday was the resplendent Victory Lighthouse that we walked to, even though we were strongly advised to take a bus by a local we asked for directions. But it’s only about 4 kilometres from the centre and we are avid walkers. We climbed the stairs to the top, reputedly about 200 steps, for panoramic... More
