Very moving statue

The artist capture very well the drama and agony of the terrible experience lived by the children of Belsan. The statue is located in a garden near one of the entrance door to the old city.

The statue is dedicated to the victims of the terrorism and the massacre in the school of Beslan in North Ossetia, which happened in the first day of the school year in 2004. The expressive and moving memorial is a work of Vandi Renzo Jarno, the sculptor from San Marino, and was inaugurated two years after the tragic event.
