This is a very historical old palace in Ravenna and in general while it has a nice front and a small museum I would not think it is worth a long walk just to see it

There are not many buildings left of the Ostrogoths, I doubt there is an other one. So to be able to see this unique building is something special. We couldn't get in because it was only open on sunday mornings in the summer. We only...More

This used to be a palace and has pretty well preserved floor mosaics as well. Worth visiting as if in the area.

They also host special private events, including a grand piano music concert one evening. Pretty cool actually, and free admission. Right...More

This is a small palazzo, which you've seen in 5-10 minutes. Nevertheless, the walls are still high for a ruin of this age. I'm not sure about other Gothic remains, but I know that relatively few items from Merovingian and Frankish times have been preserved,...More

This was the first Byzantine structure I came upon when in Ravenna, because it was on the way from the railroad station to the centre of town. I didn't know about it before. There's not a lot of this "palace" remaining, and much is open...More

Walking along the Via Romea you notice this special palazzo. At first glance you don't see the sign that you can enter and walk inside. There are great mosaics to be seen.

The building was not palace of gothic ruler Theodoric, but is worth of visit since it's free and inside there are original flour mosaics of the real Theodoric's palace.
