Yesterday, on my way back to the station, I found this church open and went in even though I had not planned to visit it. Inside on the left there is a nativity scene that is no big deal, but a recording is active that allows the figurines to speak, which amazes the children who ecstatically listen carefully. Crib aside, the church is beautiful and ancient, located immediately outside the ancient Roman castrum. Inside it could not miss the bronze statue of San Savino.

The church was consecrated back in the Xth century. The crypt has 12th-century mosaics depicting the zodiac signs on a marine background. The presbytery has a contemporary mosaic showing battle scenes and a depiction of Christ.

In an small triangular square in Piacenza is this beautiful church. The church is very old but parts and decorations have been modified and added during the centuries. The most notable part is the crypt with its unique mosaics. Light will turn on as you walk down the staircase.

This basilica is from the 11-th century. The main attraction of it is the krpt with floor mosaics also from 1100. They are very nice and very well preserved. On the main altar their is a wooden crucifix from the 12th century.

Very close to the train station in a quiet triangular square. The exterior, with a large atrium, is after the church. Inside it preserves an interesting crypt and beautiful mosaics on the pavement from different periods.
