Our guide was highly informative and gave us an insider’s view into the production of various products - We even got to see a decent amount of the production in action. I would definitely recommend the full-day itinerary as lunch was fantastic and is followed by a tour of a very unique traditional balsamic producer. We were lucky enough to have a private tour (one of the perks of low-season) and our guide gave us heaps of great information about the regions we were travelling through, the local culture and production, and how they are unique. We had the opportunity to buy all the products we had tasted throughout the day. Overall, a fantastic tour that anyone can enjoy.

Elisa was a guide with charm and humor. As good as she knew the people we visited as good she knew the products. She entertained me the whole day with funny stories, a lot of history and backgrounds and tought me maybe more about the products as some product specialists do. And I visited some food production facilities before. The special thing here was also that I was really in the middle of the production process and not only a visitor behind a glass wall. This was really special. It was a full day great experience at 3 different production sites with tastings, so I consider the price to be fair. I can totally recommend Elisa's tour.

Got my tour the day before (end of January so not busy) and I was delighted by all of the info on this tour. We did 3 stops: parmigiano, balsamic, and Parma ham. Everything was well organized and thoughtfully told. So happy with our guide Elisa. You’re the best. She too is a worldly traveler and had a lot of progressive insight on life in Italy and everywhere she’s been. Loved it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour. Lisa, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable. We could tell she was very proud of her town of Parma. She relayed the information for each venue in a way that was informative without sounding like she was going through the motions. I would highly recommend Lisa for a guide to anyone who takes this tour! Thank you to your team for making this a trip we will never forget!!!

Valentina gathered a small group of 7 and gave a thorough & impassioned introduction to the stars of Emilia-Romagna. The stop at a parmeggiano-reggiano producer was great with a detailed explanation of the process followed by a sampling of the cheeses they produced. We proceeded into the beautiful countryside for an impressive tour of a prosciutto production facility. Valentina offered information enthusiastically and welcomed our questions. This half day tour was the perfect way to learn about the famous products of the region. This is a a lovely corner of Italy that deserves as much of the spotlight as others!

We had a great time on our full day tour. The guide, Silvia, was extremely knowledgeable and experienced to be able to lead such a detailed tour. She was fantastic! I recommend the full day tour to include the balsamic tasting if you have the time. It was the highlight of the tour.

We toured a small producer of parmigiano reggiano, a mid-size producer of parma ham (prosciutto di parma) and a traditional balsamic vinegar maker with a curated lunch at a small trattoria. There were generous samples at all of the stops. Our guide Giacomo was outstanding. He was pleasant, engaging and knowledgable about the processes and the area in general. He also spoke very good English and was easy to understand. He encouraged questions and answered them. Items were available for purchase at the various stops, but you never felt pressured to purchase anything. Overall it was a fun day & I would recommend the tour.

We very much enjoyed our Tastybus travel experience to Parma, Italy. Our guide, Giacomo, was excellent. He was very informative and answered everyone's questions and had a wonderful sense of humor. He took us on separate trips to the cheese and prosciutto factories. We saw firsthand all the intricate processes that went into producing these delicious foods from start to finish. There was delightful food tasting along the way. This was followed by a wonderful ravioli lunch showcasing the incredible parmesan cheese and prosciutto. The tour concluded with a taste testing trip to the vinegar factory. We had initially considered taking a half day tour but were so happy we opted for the full day tour. It was an overall very rewarding experience that we highly recommend. P.S.- If you are taking the train to the meeting point in Parma, be certain to allow extra time. A train from Bologna was delayed thirty minutes.

Our tour guide, Giacomo, was great! He shared a lot of interesting facts about the area. We enjoyed the Parma ham as well as the cheese tour, but the star of the show, in our opinion, was the balsamic tour!
If you have a sensitive nose like me, be aware that the cheese and ham tours are quite pungent at times! All in all, great activity and would recommend to others.

Hi, thank you for your review we are so happy that you enjoyed your food tour. You are right the smell is quite pungent but it is necessary for the product. The Balsamic Vinegar is a very special product that we love and also the production is very particular, as you said it is a star.

I am an Italian tutor in the UK and took a group of students and friends to Bologna. Rossella Bassani booked our hotel and organised the Parma Food Tour for us. Rossella has been extremely professional, helpful and efficient in all of her dealings with me. Giacomo, our guide on the Parma Food Tour, was extremely knowledgeable and kindly led the tour in both English and Italian; the latter for my students' benefit. Our TASTYBUS tour could be a good choice for you. The morning tour includes a visit to a Parmigiano Reggiano cheese and PArma ham factory, while the afternoon tour includes a balsamic vinegar and local wine production site. Each tour is 55 eur per person and it includes entrance to the factories, English and Italian speaking guide, tasting and transportation from/to Parma main square. Can anyone recommend a tour of Parma for half a day or do we need more !!, any help will do not bothered if its walking, mini bus or bus (as long as I get to taste the wine at the end, ) cheers moff123
